Why Inchling

Parents don't want more photos. They want the story.

The date, the age, and the little sentence that explains why it mattered. Those are what slip away.

Month 4

The paper baby book

Beautiful, but the pages are fixed. There's no room for a second child, no photos without a printer, and by month four it's usually in a drawer.

4,000

The camera roll

It keeps everything and explains nothing. Four thousand pictures of a Tuesday, and you can't find the one where she first stood up.

One line

Inchling

A photo and a sentence, kept with the date and their exact age. It takes seconds now, and one day it becomes a book.

Age comes first

You won't remember the date. You'll remember how old they were.

Every memory in Inchling shows your child's age at that moment, worked out for you. Before birth it counts the weeks, and for babies born early it can show corrected age too.

"First steps, 11 months and 4 days."

Firsts that often happen around now

Every child has their own timing. These are gentle suggestions, and Inchling never counts what's "missing".

Save it now. Finish the story later.

Tap the big button, pick a photo, add a line if you have one. Choose a type above to see how each kind of memory is kept.

    • A photo alone is enough

Photo-only memories save instantly and wait gently for their story. Or mark them "perfect as it is".

    • Date and age fill themselves in

Inchling reads when the photo was taken. Not sure of the day? Choose "month only", "roughly", or set it by age.

    • Keep their real voice

Record "I do it myself!" as it happens, or import a recording you already have.

    • Interruptions are fine

A call, a cry, a nap that ends early. Your unfinished memory is saved as a draft and waits for you.

    Stories

Their whole story, chapter by chapter.

Memories gather into age chapters you can jump between, filter, search and favourite. Switch to a photo wall, or see siblings side by side.

    Our promises

These are photos of your children. Trust is the whole product.

    Private by default

No Inchling account and no Inchling server. Memories live on your phone and, if you like, in your own iCloud. Add a Face ID lock, and the app hides itself in the app switcher.

    Nothing is lost by accident

Deleted memories wait 30 days in Recently Deleted. Full backups include every photo, recording and word, and restore in one go.

    Yours to keep, always

Export a readable archive with a web page, photos and audio that opens without Inchling. Your memories stay readable and exportable, whatever plan you're on.

    No streaks, no guilt

Reminders are gentle, optional and fully adjustable. "Take a break" pauses them and quietens the app until you're ready.

    Made for every family

Pregnancy, twins, babies born early, adoption and foster care. Older children too, with "Big Kid" firsts and yearly pages up to 18.

    Originals, kept original

Choose original quality for printing or optimised to save space. You can see exactly how much room your memories use.

    Questions

    Good questions, kind answers.

    When can I download Inchling?
Inchling is in testing with families now and is coming to the App Store for iPhone soon. Join the waitlist below and we'll write once, on launch day.
    How much will it cost?
Inchling is free to start, with unlimited memories and PDF books. We're planning an optional Inchling+ for bigger families (more children, family sharing, extra book themes) and printed hardcover books. Prices will always be clear up front, and your memories stay yours to read and export whatever you choose.
    Where are our photos stored?
On your iPhone and, if you switch it on, in your own private iCloud. There's no Inchling account and no Inchling server, so we never see your family's memories.
Can my partner and grandparents add memories?
Yes. Share a child through iCloud and choose whether each person can add memories or only view them. Each memory shows who added it. Family members need an Apple device for now.
Our child is already older. Is it too late?
Not at all. "Add earlier firsts" lets you tick what already happened with a rough age, and photos and stories can follow whenever you have a quiet moment. There are milestones up to age 12 and yearly pages up to 18.
Does it work for adoption, twins or premature babies?
Yes. There's a "Joining Our Family" set of milestones for adoptive and foster families, multiple children with their own pages, and an optional corrected age for babies born three or more weeks early.
    Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Inchling uses Apple's iCloud so that your family's memories never touch a server of ours, which for now means iPhone only.

Every small day is worth remembering.

Be the first to know when Inchling arrives on the App Store. One email on launch day, nothing else.

    Little by little. Extraordinary love.
